Climate-Smart Livelihoods and Resilient Economic Development

This activity is designed to support communities in transitioning to sustainable, climate-resilient livelihood practices that ensure long-term economic security even in the face of increasing climate variability. We work with farmers, fisherfolk, women’s groups, and youth to introduce eco-friendly technologies and farming methods such as drought-resistant crops, efficient irrigation systems, organic farming, and sustainable aquaculture. Our program also promotes alternative income-generating opportunities—including agro-processing, beekeeping, handicrafts, and renewable energy enterprises—that reduce dependence on climate-sensitive resources. Trainings, demonstration farms, cooperative support, and access to small-scale financing form part of the holistic approach we use to strengthen local economies. By improving productivity, reducing environmental degradation, and diversifying livelihood options, we help communities achieve stable incomes while protecting natural resources for future generations.
